The greatest fear of humanity is speaking up and leading a group of people. People fear they are not capable of a leadership position and the thought of people following their actions terrifies them. People think they can’t make a difference or drive change when they are the ones who should and could. What many fail to realize is that leadership is not restraint to commanding and being “in charge”. On Google a leader is defined as, “the person who leads or commands a group, organization, or country.” Yet to me, leadership is the transfer of faith. Leaders share their passion, wisdom, and vision with their peers and in the process they also inspire others to act, believe, and elevate. Leadership isn’t about creating followers that will abide to your will, leadership is creating more leaders that could change the world.
Leaders share their passion, wisdom, and vision with their peers and in the process they also inspire others to act, believe, and elevate.
Everyone is a leader in their own way, but there are good and bad leaders. A bad leader says, “Watch what I can do.” A good leader says,“Let me show you what you never thought you could accomplish.” A bad leader is someone who gets people to believe in them, while a good leader is someone who can inspire others to believe in themselves. A bad leader wants to be the smartest person in the room while a good leader is one that wants to fill the room with the smartest people. Leadership is being the voice of the voiceless, it’s about showing people that they can do things they thought weren’t possible. In the end, leaders don’t do great things, instead they inspire others to do great things.
